Happy New Year / Stupid Host (2)

It's late, but I don't really care... less than 22 hours until 2004 for me. Woohoo! I wish everybody a happy new year...

except my host. The host of Simply Life that is. The fuckers did send me a letter that the account would be terminated 30 January 2005. Great, another year stuck with idiots. If you haven't seen my blog @ 1 November, then read it. Anyway, I sent them the stupid piece of proof that I'd sent that letter back in January saying I wanted a cheaper package for SL (I'm getting more than I really need now, and don't want to pay that much cos it is quite expensive). But after sending that, I heard absolutely nothing from them. No money back either, so I went to the bank and claimed it back there (just in time). 2 Weeks later I got the note, saying the account would be terminated in 2005! While I said in my e-mail that I didn't want to have it anymore in 2004 if they didn't give me any money back - they break the contract, then I break it completely. And just a few days after that, they did it again. They tried to claim money for the expensive package. I sent them an angry e-mail (of course I was totally pissed off), and went to the bank they day after I noticed to claim it back. All I got from them since then is a stupid "Merry Christmas" e-mail. Fucking Christmas to them. And not a Merry one. And I really hope they go bankrupt in 2004, so they won't have a "happy new year". If they try to take money from me just once more, I'll rip their hearts out and sue 'em. That's what they deserve. Plus I got a little other plan, but if I post that here and my host reads it, it'll be fucked up. So no way I'm gonna tell you yet.

But yeah, I had a nice Christmas. Good enough anyway. It's nice to have some time off. Enough time to spread work on TSZ over complete days rather than trying to do a bit in the late evening/early night as I usually do. The past week I've basically done nothing really interesting. Yeah I finished Outcast in a few days (second time), read a few chapters of LoTR The Two Towers... And I've been programming a new feature for TSZ, which should be launched next January.

I shouldn't forget telling you about 16-17 December: I went to a Lord of the Rings marathon. It started 5.30pm. There I was, with 5 friends, in a cinema, ready to watch a film of 9 hours. First Fellowship of the Ring, which I'd already seen (normal and regular edition) and read. Then 9.15 The Two Towers, which I'm reading now. I'd already seen the extended edition once completely, and the first half of it twice. Hadn't seen the regular edition yet though, and I noticed how much was cut out. Finally, 12.30am, The Return of the King. Great movie I must say, a must-see. If you like Lord of the Rings anyway. Some say the end takes too long, but I think it's a good ending - at least you know what happens to all the characters. I can't wait to see the Extended DVD edition next year. I wonder how long Peter Jackson will take about the Hobbit, if he's really gonna make that...

Yep, that's about all that's happened in my oh-so-interesting *cough* life this month. Time to end the month, and year. Happy new year, watch out with the fireworks, and enjoy the night. C-yAh in 2004.
